The Gastón Ugalde Foundation develops residency programs that invite artists and researchers to engage with the landscapes, cultures and artistic traditions of Bolivia.
Through different formats — open calls, invitations and future site-specific programs — the Foundation creates spaces for experimentation, dialogue and production.
EL REFUGIO — OPEN CALL
An international residency program developed in collaboration with El Refugio, located in the mountains near La Paz.
Artists and creative practitioners are invited to apply for focused research and production periods within a space designed for reflection and exchange.
SALAR GALERÍA — INVITED RESIDENCY
An invitation-based residency program developed in collaboration with Salar Galería, connecting artists with the unique landscape of the Salar de Uyuni.

CASA GASTÓN — FUTURE PROGRAM
Opening in 2027, Casa Gastón will host site-specific residencies on the edge of the Uyuni Salt Flat, exploring the relationship between art, architecture and landscape.
